We not only provided the freshly made Christmas Dinner, but also the entertainment, glass of sherry, Christmas crackers and transport to/from the event.

2008 was our 31st year of this great event, which is usually talked about with high regard throughout the local area, the following are details and photos from the event:

The Wadebridge Lions Club 31st Christmas Party in Wadebridge attracted approaching 250 senior citizens & guests, when we served a Christmas Dinner and provided entertainment at Wadebridge School.

Most of the senior citizens arrived by transport arranged by us to pull their crackers, put on their party hats and let their hair down on a night of non-stop fun and frolics.

Dressed in dinner suits, we found that we had our work cut-out to keep pace with our guests while the Lions wives served the drinks and Christmas dinners.

Following the meal, a full programme of entertainment was provided, including sketches and songs which attracted both laughter and applause.

Our President Lion Michael Osborne remarked "A great evening, I am absolutely delighted everything went well and from the roars of laughter and loud clapping, our guests enjoyed themselves".

"Additionally, I would like to thank the Lions members, the Lions ladies & the many helpers, as without their hard work, the evening wouldn't have been possible."
